Where: Macartney Oval, Little Bay NSW, Australia

When: Friday, 11 September 2026, 6am – 2pm

Timing:

• Sunrise – bird surveys with Renée Ferster Levy
• 10am-1pm Detailed site surveys
• Followed by a chance to socialize, share and identify your observations
• Event wrap up at 2pm.

What should you bring:

• Sturdy enclosed shoes essential (anyone wearing sandals or thongs will not be able to enter bushland areas)
• Hat, long sleeves and trousers which provide protection from scratches and sunburn
• Pack at least 1L of water, snack and some lunch
• Bring a raincoat, warm layers, sunscreen
• Pack your field guides, binoculars, hand lens, camera or smart phone.
